The blade is larger than the factory rudder and sits deeper in the water — giving you significantly more bite for turning and straight-line tracking, especially in chop, current, and following seas.
- FITS HOBIE COMPASS, COMPASS DUO, AND OUTBACK (2019+) — MADE IN AUSTRALIA – Direct upgrade for the Hobie Compass, Compass Duo, and Outback 2019 and newer. CNC machined by BerleyPro in Australia from billet aluminium with stainless steel components. Replaces the stock rudder blade and shaft assembly using existing mounting points. Select your model from the variation selector before ordering.
- TIGHTER TURNING CIRCLE AT LOW SPEEDS — CRITICAL FOR FISHING – The increased blade depth and surface area dramatically reduces turning radius at low pedal speeds. Getting on fish quickly, manoeuvring around structure, and holding position in current all require a rudder that actually responds. The stock rudder does not deliver this at low speed.
